I love New York City – it reminds me of Lagos. I always feel free, get inspired by the bustle and how everyone goes about their businesses. If you’ve been to New York you know that it’s one of the busiest, most toured places in the city, and one of the most well-known places in the world. The vibe is amazing!
I got in touch with NY based Haiti photographer, James Hercules (@LereefDesigns) through my friend and model, David. (@David.Erhime) to do a diary shoot and his first location choice was Times Square. We met at Starbucks on 42nd street and strolled to MAC store in Times Square where Miguel (@BeautybyMiguel) beat my face; Miguel’s touch was flawless. He said there was something about my face that gave him inspiration that evening. Well Miguel, THANK YOU!!! I went partying after our shoot.
It was the last day of my Christmas holiday trip and this shoot was meant to be the first of my journey into 30s’, but unfortunately the images were delayed and the video to accompany it for How To’s has gone to voicemail. Oh well…
I explored Times Square wearing Nuraniya Studios statement maroon pant, three different looks. The pant features pearl-beading that drew people’s attention with its muting sound, and very minimal accessorizing.
