Unlike other shores along the several kilometres stretch of the Nigerian coastline on the Atlantic Beach, Ilashe Island is a unique, sleepy village and tranquil oasis, along Badagry Creek, with several beach houses owned by high-profile people, corporate companies and a few others owned by individuals for commercial use.
This wasn’t my first visit. But with my friend, Eyo and myself spending our first Christmas Holiday in Lagos, we thought the best way to spend our last few days of 2015 would be at the beach. A few friends and off we went to POP Beach Club house.
I wore one of my most comfortable monochrome dress gifted to me, and surprisingly the beach chairs were made of monochrome.
You cannot beat the rustic allure of the beach houses’ wood and thatch construction as well as the village kids who hang around. I had to make friends of course!
