ISI ATAGAMEN

Working closely with designers on SPICE TV’s Lookbook Show has exposed me more to the many talents Africa has in the creative and fashion industries. I get to meet photographers, models and makeup artists I know of but never met. I fall in love with some of the designer’s pieces and buy them before leaving the set, or place an order immediately. I shop everywhere but my wardrobe is becoming a menage-a-trois of high street brands, basic wardrobe must-haves and mostly locally made pieces by African designers.

Isi Atagamen was the first designer I featured on the show when I took over from Redbox Media. And this isn’t my first Isi Atagamen’s piece, neither was it the first time I met Isi Atagamen, I met model Isi Atagamen in 2009 when she came to Kokomansion as a celebrity guest on the show to share her story with the housemates and she was very professional. After Kokomansion and years of strutting runways and striking fearless poses for numerous fashion designers both behind the scene in their design studios and during fashion shows for more than 7 years, in 2011 Isi decided to say goodbye to modeling and hello to chasing her dreams of designing her own fashion label which led to the birth of ISI ATAGAMEN FASHION LABEL.

This isn’t just another jumpsuit. I love it as it’s a simple outfit, but the perfect fit and how it blends so well on my skin is what makes it really stand out for me. I paired it with a brown transparent clutch, pearl studs, a black sandals and black turban to complete that simple yet powerful look inspired by my love for Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned. Her style is SPECTACULAR!

With the details on the graphic details on the jumpsuit bottom, you don’t need statement jewelry pieces, best to keep all that stuff toned down. It’s all about that perfectly fitted garment perfectly framing your face and body, setting them off to their best advantage.

P/S – My broken nail is a result of hitting my fingers hitting a wall. It happens to the best of us and it shouldn’t stop you from showing up! *wink*
