What makes you proud to be a Nigerian?
This Saturday 1st of October 2016, my country and Africa’s most populous nation Nigeria will be marking its 56th anniversary of independence from British colonial rule. And although Nigeria may not be a perfect (which country is anyways), there are many reasons why we should be celebrating Nigeria’s freedom, and endless reasons to get a little dressed up on October 1st.
I incorporated different shades of our rich country’s national flag colours – two green representing Nigeria’s natural wealth, and white representing peace into three stylish outfit inspirations to hopefully inspire someone who’s either looking for the perfect outfit for a house barbeque party, brunch date/casual business meeting, or attending a fashion event (the grand finale of Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria 2016 event is taking place on Saturday 1st October 2016 at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos)
The Glam Chic Look
Stand for the #BuyNaija campaign by matching locally made pieces from your wardrobe if attending an event.
Rock your green and white dashiki with a modern touch. If your intention is to eat to your hearts content, this look is your friend.
LOOK 3 – Keeping my smart-casual look, sexy!
P/S – All looks can be dressed down by simply switching your heels for a white pair of sneakers.
