This season is all about celebrating the gift of life and our Lord Jesus Christ who was born in a manger. This is really something I always have at the back of my head – Jesus was born into a normal family, in a manger as just a kid but today is now celebrated all over the world as our peace and joy giver. I am purpose-driven!
I’m spending this Christmas solo! No bae, brother/sister, gift-giving, big homemade dinner and all other cultural clichés that tells the same Christmas story. Ok, not-so-alone, I’m spending Christmas with my best of friends again and it’s the first Christmas in 4 years we are not working or travelling afterwards to be with family.
I currently have no plans. The blazing sun and fuel scarcity situation in Nigeria this holiday isn’t inspiring enough for one to move around in peace. So as we look forward to the new year, I’m taking advantage of this time to spend a lovely day with friends turned family and my inner Grinch, and open to whatever my Grinchy side might desire.
How about you? What are you getting up to this Christmas?
Last, special thanks to you, my loyal readers. My 2017 wouldn’t be what it is without you. I hope you have a holly-jolly Christmas. And may your homes be filled with His love and blessings.
Stay safe guys!
