Who is a Fashion Stylist? And who is a Creative Director?
What do they do? And what’s the difference?
Most people get the art, the difference and the business side of these two professions all confused. While it’s normal to infuse these two roles into one, it is important to understand they play two different roles in the fashion industry.
A Fashion Stylist (most times referred to as Image Consultant) must know and understand the basic fundamentals like body shape, the appearance of different cuts and fabrics and color as well as the principles of design, and a Creative Director on the other hand must simply have creative, communication, leadership and technical skills.
