Was it me or 2017 witnessed a denim crisis. Seeing people move from their love for true everyday jeans to softer fabrics that are easy to wear from day to night. Someone asked me recently, how do you still wear jeans and rock the double denim trend? Denim is a wardrobe staple and not a trend that will never really “die”. Rather they simply mutate and recycled occasionally.

I mean, since 2013 we’ve seen an evident turnover of popular jeans in different silhouettes. From bootcut jeans, forward wide-leg shaped jeans, skinny jeans, vintage and reconstructed vintage jeans, high-waist wide-leg jeans, embellished/patchwork/painted jeans, boyfriend jeans, cropped kick-flare jeans, straight-leg jeans, distressed jeans, to embroided, fringe, uneven hem, two-toned and deconstructed denim, that I’ve been wondering to myself what denim styles would true denim lovers be rocking in 2018?

  1. Mom Jeans of course!
The mom jean trend has been going strong for a few years now and I’m sticking to her story. You can try pairing your denim with a different denim silhouette like I did with my old jacket with embroidery.
